There is a season … Commission

This collector couple love Lost River. As they were completing a whole house renovation in Maryland they decided to bring the mountains into their home. In addition to the painting they asked for advice on wall colors. I love working on commissions and creating something unique and personal.

This painting is titled “There is a season…” because during the time I was working on it I experienced a lot of loss coupled with a lot of joy. Turns out that the collector has a favorite poem that aligns perfectly with the painting.

Ten thousand flowers in spring,

the moon in autumn,

a cool breeze in summer,

snow in winter.

this is the best season of your life.
